renewable energy
Why invest?
In a global scenario where climate change is becoming increasingly relevant, energy transition from the conventional fossil fuel model to renewable energy use is the most effective tool to combat global warming. As well as being politically correct, the change to renewable energy is also economically critical to countries and corporations.
Worldwide
Not surprisingly, global investment in renewable energy – solar, wind, hydroelectric and biomass – reached nearly $289 billion in 2018, surpassing for the first time in history the amount invested in fossil fuels.*

In Brazil
Although Brazil has a cleaner energy mix than most countries, the sum of three factors provides the country with huge potential for investments in renewable energy:

High dependence on hydroelectric power generation. This is highly impacted by climate change and the bulk of its potential is concentrated in the Amazon region.

Brazil has the largest scale economy in Latin America.

Increased demand with Brazil’s expected return to economic growth in the coming years.
